Florence Thibodeaux Green, 83, was born June 20, 1937 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Leopold and Alice Bellard Thibodeaux in Lawtell, Louisiana. She later moved to Lake Charles and remained a long time resident until her passing.

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family at Grand Cove Nursing Home the angels carried Florence to meet her Heavenly Father.

Florence was married to the late Walden Green and of this union four children were born. Florence was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for many years. She loved family gatherings and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandson. She was a very compassionate person who possessed a beautiful, caring.  and quiet spirit. Florence was a homemaker and an excellent cook. She enjoyed spoiling everyone's   children, and babies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leopold and Alice Bellard Thibodeaux; her loving and devoted husband, Walden Green; two brothers, Alex Thibodeaux and Rufus Thibodeaux; six sisters, Estella Lavergne, Lou Wilda Bellard, Ella Mae Francis, Elrine Hanney, Isabella Carter and Lillian Henny.

Florence's memories will always be cherished and remembered by her four sons, Hank, John, and Martin Green all of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Darrell (Angela) Green of Lafayette, Louisiana; one surviving sister, Catherine Wilson of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one grandson, Chi Green; three godsons, Christopher Dardin, Harold Bellard, Terry Hanney; and one goddaughter, Diane Thibodeaux-Guillory; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
