It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Florence Jean Victorian of Lake Charles on May 18, 2020 at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was the dearly loved wife of her Husband Clifford Victorian of Lake Charles. Born November 11, 1945 to Samuel and Anne Belle Jenkins. Her father was a soldier in the US Army, and they traveled frequently but settled down in Hinesville, Georgia. Florence attended high school in Hinesville, Georgia and graduated from Liberty County High School. She was active in church as well becoming an Usher in the church her mother ministered in. Florence met a handsome young man from Louisiana who happened to be stationed at the local military base called Fort Stewart. It was during this time they realized the love they had for each other and married on October 20, 1961, this loving bond has lasted for 57 years until her untimely passing. Their bond produced 4 exceptional kids. Ronald, Sherry, Terry and Michael. As a family they traveled to various states and countries. Florence would instill that learning and education was key in being successful in life, she set this example by becoming a substitute teacher for special needs kids and for many other schools where she was needed. She was a great housewife, a great mother but also the best bingo player you could have ever known. Bingo was her passion, if the bingo hall was open, she was there, rain, sleet or snow, it never stopped her. She had a great joy to go fishing as well and spent countless hours showing her kids and grandkids how to fish when they were growing up. She will always be remembered for her positive outlook on life and her sense of humor and love for Family.
She leaves a wonderful Husband Clifford Victorian of Lake Charles, brother Alex Jenkins of Hinesville, Georgia, son Ronald Victorian of San Antonio Texas, daughter Sherry Victorian of Katy, Texas, Son Terry and Wife Robin of Friendswood, Texas, son Michael Victorian of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Granddaughters Kiara, Angelica, Gabrielle, Bria, Arianna, Meghan, Morgan, Jada, Grandsons Nicholas, Cameron, Jullian and 4 great grand-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Anne Belle Jenkins, and her brothers Samuel Jenkins Jr. and Benjamin Jenkins.
