On March 6, 1945 Frankie Mae Simon was born in Lake Charles,Louisiana to Letha Jones Simon and Talton Simon. At an early age she was baptized at Old Emmanuel Baptist Church. Later in life she became a member of United Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Ronald L.Mayo until death.

She was a devoted wife to Archie Rankins Jr. for thirty-eight years in which he preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her legacy two daughters Monica (Jeff Madison) of Desoto, Tx., Adrian   (Wilbert Giron) of Opelousas, Louisiana; three sons Joshua Rankins of Dallas, Tx., Nathaniel Rankins and Marcus(Megan Rankins) of Lake Charles, Louisiana., five sisters Hazel Williams, Betty (Rev.Johnnie Wilkins, Jr.)., Mary (Floyd Buchanan)., Gracie (Arthur Roane)., two brothers Navy Simon all of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Elton Simon of Houston Texas.

She also leaves to cherish her memories eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Frankie was preceded in death by her Mother Letha Jones Simon; Father Talton Simon; two brothers Ernest and James Simon; two sisters Lillie Mae Simon Victorian and Mildred Simon.
