George S. Andrews, 80, departed this life on Monday, August 29, 2016 in a local facility.

He was a native of Lake Charles for 80 years. He was born on October 19, 1935 to George and Leontine Andrus (Andrews). He graduated from Sacred Heart High and McNeese University where he obtained a Bachelors and MBA in Math and Science. Mr. Andrews was a teacher for 30 years. He retired from Eastwood Elementary in May, 1995. He was a professional with a playful spirit.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary C. Andrews, 2 children, One daughter, Rechelle Andrews of Lake Charles, LA, and One son George S. Andrews Jr. of Dallas,TX, one grandchild, Brionnie Andrews of Las Vegas, NV, and two sisters, Nancy Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, and Elizabeth Rosemore (Adam) of Lake Charles, LA, and a host of nieces and nephews.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: September 3, 2016

Visitation will be Saturday September 3, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel with a scripture reading at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Service will be Saturday September 3, 2016, at 12 noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will be in Sacred heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
