Georgianna Mitchell, Matriarch was born August 16, 1922 in Carencro, LA to the late Victoria Hebert Woods and Herman Woods.  On April 17, 2019 she was called home to be with the Lord.

She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  She was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters: Elnora Edolia Skinner and Shirley Ann Pappion.  Three Sons­: Edmond August Mitchell, Edward Joseph Mitchell and Clayton John Mitchell.  25 Grandchildren, 51 Great Grandchildren and 40 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother Herman and Victoria Woods.  Husband: Gilbert Mitchell.  Daughters:  Nora Mary Williams, Verda Mae Nelson and Victoria Ann Jolivette.  Son:  Martin Douglas Mitchell.  Grandchildren:  Elizabeth Ann Nelson, Kaiser Ray Williams Jr., Javonte Williams, Tiney Marie Nelson, Edmond August Mitchell, Jr., Danielle Renee Williams, Curtis James Williams.  Sisters:  Mabel Woods, Orelia Woods, Alexandria Alfred, Olivia Woods, and Enolia Woods.  Brothers:  Gaston Woods, C.J. Woods, Jeffrey Woods, Clifton Woods, Ivory Woods, Andrew Woods Robert Woods and Joseph Woods.
