Georgie Anna Ledet Norling was born April 27, 1949, a daughter of Fredand Edna Ledet in Chataignier, Louisiana. She attended Ross HighSchool in Crowley, Louisiana. Upon graduating she moved to Californiain 1968 which was one of her dreams as a child. There she worked atJob Corp and subsequently met Navin June Norling from Bakersfield,California. They married in 1970 and soon after she had her onlychild, son, Navin June Norling II on August 21, 1970. She lived inCupertino, California until 2010. After over 40 years in Californiaand retiring from California Microwave as an Electronic Assembler, shemoved to Fairburn, Georgia to be closer to her family. In October 2010her son married Nasoan Sheftel-Gomes and Georgie became a grandmotherto Satya Sheftel-Gomes (born 2000) and 10 months later anothergranddaughter (born 2011), Naima June Norling. For the past 6 yearsshe was able to enjoy time with her family and see her grandchildrengrow. Georgie is survived by siblings, Wilton Leday, Rose Todd, RegisLedet, Raymond Leday, Ruby Boullard, Shirley Ledet Johnson and waspreceded in death by her parents and siblings Charlie Leday, GenevieveSibley, Werlin Leday. Georgie leaves a host of loved nieces andnephews and cousins and other relatives and friends.

A Celebration:Georgie''s son, Navin, who she spoke to almost daily is deeply saddenedby her loss. No one could be prepared for what happened over the lastfew months. Most of us believed she was going to be ok. She was toughlike that. Unfortunately, God had other plans and maybe the pain thatshe endured was too much. But what we know now is she is in no pain,she is at peace, and today is a chance for those she touched allacross this country who may feel sad to celebrate her life. We knowthat she is looking upon us and she is happy we are here to unite andshare this love she gave us.

Visitation will be Sunday August 28, 2016 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial service will be Sunday August 28, 2016 at 10:30 am in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
