Geraldine "Bean" Predium Cross

Geraldine Cross, 79, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her love ones.

Mrs. Cross was born March 24, 1946 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Adam Predium and Hazel Gallow Predium.

Mrs. Cross worked at Delta Downs until her retirement. She adored her family and grandchildren and great grandchild and cherished the moments spent with them. She enjoyed listening to Zydeco music and always visiting Doghill “her birth place.” Mrs. Cross was known for her cooking and baking and enjoying the outside; she also loved to go fishing. Her favorite past time was playing bingo and loved being with her group “The Three Amigos,” Brenda Jones and Etta Gray.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Catrina Cross of Beaumont, Texas, Gaynell Cross and Marynell (Keith) Rigmaiden of Vinton, Louisiana. Her siblings, Rosetta Valentine of Olympic Field, Illinois, Manuel Predium of Moreno Valley , California, Raymond Predium of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Paul Predium of Los Angeles, California, Lionel Predium of Moreno Valley, California, and Brenda Predium Jones of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Grandchildren, Keilan, Asiya, Keithan, Trevyn, and Keimani. Great grandchildren, Ayden and one on the way along with a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Special friend Lillian “Pee Wee” Shelton and her road dog Brenda Jones.

Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her husband James Cross, parents Hazel and Adam Predium, sisters, Rose Chavis, Leonia Chavis, brothers Daniel Predium and Adam Predium.

While we grieve the loss of Geraldine, let us keep her memory alive by embodying her compassion, strength and love in everything we do.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to everyone who has called, visited and offered assistance in any capacity.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 21, 2026 beginning at 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral at 11:00 A.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
