Glenda Broussard Biagas, 63, died in peace at 3:35 p.m.on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Golden Age of Welsh nursing facility. Glenda was a St. Charles Academy High School graduate and received her master''s degree +30 from McNeese State University. At McNeese State University, Glenda was a charter member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Zeta Pi Chapter. She fulfilled her calling and passion for teaching as an elementary school teacher. Before retirement in 2006, Glenda taught for 33 1/2 years at Frasch Elementary School in Sulphur, La. During her career, she touched many lives and received many honors such as Teacher of the Year for Calcasieu Parish. After retirement, she became caregiver for her mother, tutor, volunteer at St. Henry''s Catholic Church, Bible school and confirmation teacher and adored spending time and caring for her granddaughter, Alex Kaye Jules. Glenda was the eldest child of Alex Floyd and Elma Richard Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alex, and father-in-law, Alvin Biagas.

On Nov. 17, 1973, Glenda Faye Broussard was joined in holy matrimony to Terrell Anthony Biagas. To this union of 41 years two children were born, Dena Kaye Biagas and Byron Anthony Biagas.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terrell; her two children; her granddaughter, Alex; her mother, Elma Richard Broussard; her mother-in-law, Veda Orsot Biagas; her only sister, Gwen Broussard Landry (Ferrel); and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Glenda''s celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. The closed casket visitation will be held at Combre Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Henry''s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. and will be officiated by Father Timothy Goodly and assisted by Father Jenesh Joseph also on Wednesday. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. All services will be under the direction Combre Funeral Home. In celebration of Glenda Biagas'' beautiful life and baptism, we encourage all attendees to wear whites and pastels.
