Gloria Dean Hypolite, 79 of Lake Charles, La transitioned on Thursday, October 24, 2024 in a local hospital. She was born to the late Harry Hypolite Jr. and the late Agnes Skipper–Hypolite on September 6, 1945 in Lake Charles, La. Gloria was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Knights of Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary Court 141, 4th Degree Ladies of Grace Father Herbert F. Schuster Chapter 22, Charlie's Ladies of BAN (Red Hat Society) and Doretha A. Combre Business and Professional Women.

Gloria was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School, Class of 1962 and attended McNeese State University. She retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board after 30 plus years of service. She later went on to work for the Diocese of Lake Charles Catholic Charities on October 11, 2010 and retired in June of 2024.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley H. Sias.

She leaves to mourn her brother Murphy (Alice Faye) Hypolite, sister Mary H. Reeder both of Lake Charles, La; brother in law Joseph Leroy Sias; along with three nephews Darrell (Shanyetta) Hypolite, Leon Sias and Alex Hypolite; two nieces Jessica Sias, Dr. Hasaan Reeder and two great nephews Kristopher Hypolite and Samuel Hypolite, Uncle Willie Hypolite and Aunt Julia Hypolite-Mason including a host of other relatives and friends.
