IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hampton
Doucet
January 1, 1931 – August 12, 2019
Brother Hampton Doucet was born January 1, 1931 in Ville Platte, LA to the union of the late
Clinton & Elvenia Doucet. He departed this life and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday,
August 12, 2019. Brother Doucet was united in holy matrimony to the late Ezola Harris and to
this union five children were born.
He was baptized at an early age and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of
Cathedral of Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Hearnest Arvie until
his death. Thereafter, Pastor Arthur Cullivan watched over his soul until his death. Brother
Doucet was an active member. He served as an usher for over 40 years before being ordained as
a deacon in which he served over 30 years. He was willing to work wherever needed, including
the building repairs. He was always willing to share his life experiences and wisdom from
growing up as a child to becoming a man, and a husband.
Brother Doucet leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his legacy three sons: Lankton
(Patricia) Doucet, Samuel (Gerlie) Doucet, Lawrence (Jacinta Ann) Doucet; two daughters:
Brenda (Frank) Celestine, Debra (Micah) Lewis, all of Lake Charles, LA; ten grandchildren, nine
