Harry Lee Simien, 66, of Lake Charles, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, in his residence.
Harry was born on February 29, 1948, in Iowa, LA. He was a graduate of Washington High School. He played football semi-professional football for the Lake Charles Pelicans. He enjoyed hunting, operating heavy equipment, cooking, dump trucks and spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He is a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Survivors include longtime companion, Irma J. Tutson, daughter, Melissa Simien of Houston, TX, sons, Harry Lee (Diana) Simien, Jr., of Houston, TX, Jermaine Simien and Huey Simien, both of Lake Charles, and Michael Paul (Latricia) Simien of Houston, TX. Two step children, Olivia "Baba" Johnson and Robert Collins of Metairie, LA. One brother, Marshall (Nolia) Simien, Sr. of Lake Charles, LA and one sister-in-law, Francis Simien of Pueblo, CO., step sister, Eurby Broussard of Houston, TX and step brother, Alvin Guillory of Lake Charles, LA, 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August "Octave" & Josephine Simien, step- mother, Philanese Simien, wife, Dorothy Collins Simien, step-son, Michael Paul Collins, sister, Rose Marie (Peter) Martin, brothers, J.E. (Geraldine) Simien, James "Jimmy" Simien, Duplecie "Brother" Simien, step-brother, Daniel Guillory and step-sister Charlene Guillory and one grandchild.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: February 28, 2015
Funeral services will be held @ 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Reverend Marcus Johnson will officiate. Visitation Saturday, February 28, 2015 will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Combre Funeral Home. Rosary will began at 10:00 a.m
