Hazel (Bae) Simon Harper Williams, 87, of Lake Charles, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, in her residence surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born on Oct. 10, 1929, in Bell City, La., to Lizzie and Tolton Simon. Later she moved to Lake Charles, where she met her husband, Wilmo Williams from Natchitoches, La. Hazel Williams was a homemaker and foster parent for 32 years.

Hazel was preceded in death by husband, Wilmo Williams; parents, Lizzie and Tolton Simon; son, James Harper; sisters, Mildred Simon, Lillie Mae Victorian, Frankie Mae Rankins; brother, James Simon.

She is survived by brother, Navy Simon; Elton Simon of Houston, Texas; sisters, Betty (Johnny) Wilkins, Mary (Floyd) Bruchanan, Grace Rome; daughter-in-law, Helen Harper; grandchildren, Zina and Scott Harper; daughters, Shawanda (Jerome) Goodly and C.W.; son, Robert Thomas; grandkids; great-grandkids; great-great-grandkids.
