Helen Rascoe Reliford, 89, passed away peacefully in her home on October 29, 2012.  She was born in Ringgold, LA on March 17, 1923 to N.R. Rascoe and Arettie Rascoe.  She was housekeeper and a caregiver for many years.  She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Springhill C.M.E. Church in Ringgold, LA.  She was married to the late M.R. Reliford and after moving to Lake Charles, she became a long time member of Reeve Temple C.M.E. Church, where she was an active member in the Reeves Temple C.M.E. Missionary Society and Senior Ministry.

She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Reliford.  She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Beverly R. Banks and one son, Tracy Reliford.  Nine grandchildren, Keith (Stephanie) Reliford, Kevin Reliford,  Kenneth Reliford, Kerry Reliford, Theral King, Vanessa Reliford and Miracle Chatman all of Lake Charles, LA, Leisa (Kevin) Reliford-Netty of Westlake, LA and Keisha (Brian) Banks-Payne of Grand Prairie, TX and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Also, to cherish her memory, two very best friends, Georgia Thomas and Mary Labbe.

Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Reeves Temple C.M.E Church.  The Reverend Dr. H. Leon Williams, Sr. will officiate.  Burial will be at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m.-2:15 p.m. Saturday in the church.
