Henry H. Jackson was born August 11, 1943 in Alexandria, La. to Clarence and Rachel Hilbert Jackson. Henry was the youngest of 18 children. He was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School, Class of 1962. He als attended McNeese University before serving his country in the United States Navy for 6 years.

After serving in the US Navy, Henry became a plant operator at Lockee Plant before moving on to Shell Oil Company where he worked there faithfully until joining PPG before retiring in 1999. After retiring, Henry found love in traveling around the the world visiting places like Alaska, New Zealand, Australia, and so many more to name. Henry never traveled alone, from taking his wife, and kids on long trips and even inviting his nieces and nephews and even some neighbors children. Some of his main hobbies were video recording for CBC and his kids sporting events. Henry loved to tell jokes and make every one laugh. Henry loved being recognized as a Veteran and was a member of the VFW 7321, and American Legion Post 551. Henry was baptized at Mt. Pilgrim at a young age and later joined Christian Baptist Church under the leadership of the Pastor W. C. Clark. He was a member of the male chorus and a member of the Deacon board for many years. He was a member of the Laymen Brotherhood, and also a member of IAMAW Machinist Union.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence O. and Rachel Jackson; siblings, Columbus, Arthur Lee, twins Clarence and Claude, Marilyn J. Holmes, Margaret Jackson Crowe, and Easter Jackson Troulliet.

Cherishing Henry's memories is his wife of 53 years, Joyce (Joice) Washington Jackson of Lake Charles, La. two sons, Cedric (Devon) Jackson of Beaumont, Tx. Damond (RaShonda) Jackson of Lake Charles, La. two daughters LaKeisha Jackson of Lake Charles, La., and Lola (Lance) Ellard of Douglasville, Ga. Twelve Grandchildren and eleveen great grandchildren; 1 grand dog Bentley, brother-in-law, Hilliard Wilson of Houston, Tx., and two sisters-in-law, Leola Jackson of Baton Rouge, La., and Eva Dee Edwards of Lake Charles, La. and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, relatives and friends.
