Herbert Hoover Morrow, 83, of Lake Charles, Louisiana was called home on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at his residence. He was the son of Cresie Spikes Morrow and Matthew    Morrow Jr. of Moss Bluff, Louisiana. He was born in Moss Bluff, Louisiana.

He attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Court 141. He retired after 32 years of service as an operator at Firestone Synthetic Rubber plant in the Lake Charles area.

Herbert enjoyed traveling, doing carpentry work, spending time with his family, gardening with his wife, and raising various breeds of dogs. The center of his life, joy of his day, was his wife of 61 years. They were very close and enjoyed many of life's cherishable moments together.

He is survived by one daughter Hazel Marie (Horace) Washington; and a son, Errel Chris (Elaine) Morrow; live-in grandson Joshua Morrow; grandchildren Tracie (Eugene) Butler, Karen (Edward) Reynolds of Houston, Texas, Kyle Washington, Kalon Washington,   Halisha Washington of Houston, Texas, Chelsea Morrow of Lake Charles, Louisiana; great-grandchildren Aniyia Smith, Darian Smith, Abrianna Reynolds, and Edward 'E.J' Reynolds Jr. all of Houston, Texas, Laticia Washington, Kyle Washington Jr, Lakeisha Morrow, Devonte Morrow all of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and     nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives.

Herbert was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Ethel Joseph Morrow, son Matthew Herbert Morrow, mother Cresie Spikes Morrow, father Matthew Morrow Jr., 8 sisters Naomi Morrow Carter, Susie Morrow, Mittie Morrow Wright, Mary Lee Morrow Hilliard, Stella Morrow Young, Sophia Morrow Taylor, Artemis Morrow Hasty, Mattie Lee Morrow Tezeno.
