Hilda Theresa Leger Harris was born to the union of Amelina LeBlanc Leger and Henry Leger in Eunice, Louisiana on November 1, 1926. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Hilda loved taking care of stray cats who she named all with president''s name, and she had a personal cat who was named Charlie. Her most favorite pastime was talking on the phone.

She was married to John Harrison who preceded her in death. She had one daughter Veronica Harris, who also preceded her in death.

She had seven sisters Alicia, Celema, Lilly, Beatrice, Rita, Martha and Ida, who all preceded her in death. She also had three brothers who preceded her in death, Gabriel, Gervis, and Curly.

Hilda is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her funeral will be at 11am Thursday, April 11, inImmaculateHeart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Marcus Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9-10:40am Thursday in Combre Funeral Home.
