Irving Arthur "Bobby" Thibodeaux, the 2nd child of 7 born to the late Mitchell and Leona (Simien) Thibodeaux was born July 29, 1932 in Sunset, Louisiana.

Irving was called to glory at the age of 85 on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in a local hospital.

Irving was united in marriage to Joyce Joubert on November 29, 1952 and to this union eight children was born, four boys and four girls. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings Caston "TeBoo" and Joseph "Mitch" Thibodeaux.

He was a member of Local 207 where he worked for many years until his retirement in 1989.

Daddy, as he was affectionately known to his family and many loved ones, loved a good conversation, telling jokes, always liked to talk about the imaginary fish that got away, trucks and taking a ride.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 64 years Joyce Thibodeaux, eight children, Lolita Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, La. Keith(Lai) Thibodeaux of Iowa, La., Johnny Thibodeaux, Karl and Jared Thibodeaux, Marie Lavell (Yazan Jamal) Thibodeaux, Lemoine Thibodeaux and Leah Thibodeaux (Carl Duhon) all of Lake Charles, La. 25 grandkids and 45 great grandkids, four sisters, Enola Chenier, Pal (Terry) Batiste, Paula Thibodeaux, Drusella (Joseph) Thibodeaux-Eaglin and sister-in-law Verly Espree Thibodeaux, four godchildren, Lionel Richard, Ophelia Collins, Assunta Jolivette and Stephanie Simon.
