James Jerome Garrick was born to the late Joseph Morris Garrick and Constance Nero Garrick on February 24, 1945, in Church Point, Louisiana. His family moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1958 where he resided until his departure of life on January 22, 2022.
James worked and retired from the City of Lake Charles in the public works department after 30+ years of service. He loved to dress making sure everything matched to a tee. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends at Fudo's Family Restaurant, Exxon Service Station on Broad Street and New Look Fashions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Anthony Garrick, one brother John Lincoln Garrick, two sisters, Lewanna White and Margaret Cunningham.
He leaves his loving sons to cherish his memories, Kenneth Garrick and Don Garrick both of Opelousas, Louisiana. Three sisters, Lou E. Williams of Fairbanks, Alaska, Mary Maggie Garrick Berry and Marie Garrick Page (Ernest) of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Two brothers-in-law, Ernest Page and Willie Cunningham; and best friend, Michael Orphey. In addition, he leaves numerous grandchildren, godchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of relatives and friends.
