James Charles Thomas., 63, was called into eternal rest on Thursday, June 4, 2015, in the local hospital. He was a native of Lake Charles, La. He retired from the Calcasieu Parish School System after working 16 years as a Cafeteria Technician and previously working numerous years for Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include wife, Cynthia Thomas of Lake Charles; one stepdaughter, Samara Rideaux (Marcus) of Houston, TX and one stepson Edwin Tillman of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters Velma Thomas of Lake Charles, La. And Jean Beckett of Houston, TX; four brothers Donald Charles (Karen), Alon Charles, David Charles, Kevin Charles (Avello) all of Lake Charles, La.; five sister-in-laws, Donna Washington (Alvin), Veronica Andrus, Sabrinia Thomas (Eddie), Lisa Andrus all of Lake Charles, La., and Linda Decuir (Dalton) of Lafayette, La., brother-in-law Leslie P. Andrus (Bridgette) of Houston, TX.; father-in-law Leslie Andrus Jr.; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. His visitation will be at Combre Funeral Home Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 9:00 am - 11:45 am followed by Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at 12 pm.
