Janet Marie Martin Delaine, 47, was called home in the early morning hours on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Meridian, Mississippi. She grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and later moved to Sulphur where she resided for over 20 years. She was employed at McNeese State University, having just received an award for 20 years of service. She was a proud and active member of her church as well as Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, Terence Delaine of Sulphur; one daughter, Jasmine (Jeremy) McClain of Lake Charles; one son, Terence Delaine, Jr. of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Shelby (Eddie) Guidry of Zachary and Angela Torrence Brandon of Zachary; four brothers, Michael Torrence of Los Angeles, California, Glenn (Emelda) Jolla of Quezon City, Philippines, Gregory Torrence of Zachary, and David R. Torrence of Baker; her loving mother, Mary Martin of Baton Rouge; and loving father David Torrence of Baker; one grandchild, Jaxson McClain of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: December 6, 2014
Her funeral will be 12 P.M., Saturday, December 6, at Throne of Grace Fellowship Church in Lake Charles. Dr. Wilton J. Red will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park in Lake Charles under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M at Throne of Grace Fellowship Church on saturday. An Ivy Beyond the Wall ceremony will commence at 11 A.M
