Janice Babineaux was born on October 22, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York.

Janice relocated to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1978 to be with her parents, Frederick and Eunice Dent.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Francis Joseph Babineaux, one sister, Felicia Simmons and two brothers, Albert Simmons, Jr. and Michael Simmons.

On April 14, 1993, Janice married the love of her life, Francis Babineaux.

From their union, they begat one child, Brooke Janeece Babineaux. From a young age, Janice had a devotion to helping others with a   special interest with the elderly. She worked as a Home Healthcare Attendant for the elderly for over thirty years and, reluctantly retired in 2018 due to a debilitating illness.

Janice was a trooper and loved life. No matter the pain and suffering she went through Janice always would put on a smile and find a way to enjoy life through it all. She and her beloved husband, Francis loved the arts and frequently went to local theaters. Her favorite pastimes were shopping, cooking, entertaining and watching the Hallmark channel especially Christmas movies. And, she loved her "fur babies," Spanky and Jaxston.

Janice leaves to cherish her memories: Her parents, Frederick and Eunice Dent, one daughter, Brooke Babineaux, five sisters, Gail Smith and Sandra Ashley, Brooklyn, NY, Cynthia Lewis, Queens, NY, Tasha Guidry and Nikki Simmons, Lake Charles, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, grands, great-grands and other relatives and close friends.
