Jeremy Anthony Olivier was the second son born to John R. Olivier Sr. and Gwen Chrétien Olivier on January 18, 1983. Jeremy departed this life according to God''s appointed time on September 27, 2014. He was a life long resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana whom after marrying the love of his life moved to Port Arthur, TX.
Jeremy initially attended Washington Marion Magnet High School but he was a proud graduate of Lake Charles Boston High School in 2001. After attending McNeese State University Jeremy continued his higher education and received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Process Technology from Sowela Technical Community College on May 18, 2010. Jeremy was a control room A operator for Colonial Pipeline in Beaumont, TX.
Jeremy was a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was extremely faithful in God and the promise of resurrection through his son our personal Savior and Messiah.
Sublime Prince Jeremy Olivier was an active member of John G. Lewis Consistory 165 32nd and 33rd degree Masons located in Lake Charles, LA operating under the jurisdiction of the United Supreme Council of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, United States of America, Prince Hall Affiliation, where the 32nd degree was conferred upon Jeremy. He also received the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in Golden Chain Lodge 103 and was an active member of Ionic Lodge 26; both Lodges are located in Lake Charles, LA and operates under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Louisiana, Prince Hall Affiliation.
Jeremy married his best friend and the love of his life LaKisha Jones on December 5, 2012. Jeremy had the brightest smile you would ever encounter in your human experience. His eyes were filled with warmth, his touch was inviting and his heart was full with the love of life. Jeremy was in love with his life and cherished the possibilities of an abundant harvest of the bounty gathered from the seeds he had sown. His proudest moment was his announcement of his wife''s pregnancy. LaKisha was his rib and completed him as a person as they lived together as one flesh and heart. Jeremy was a dutiful husband and excited father to be, supportive brother, a helpful uncle, mentoring Godfather, best friend, and a loving care giving son. Jeremy had a bubbly personality, with a mild temperament. His spirit was filled with care; he always had a positive attitude towards life and always offered words of encouragement. He never met anyone that was not his friend. Many affectionately knew him by many names, Jeremy, Jay, Big Perm, Boy Boy, Big O, and brother; but all knew him as a passionate caregiver. Jeremy''s life approach was that of a free spirit as he enjoyed life''s experiences and the direction he was headed. Jeremy had room in his heart unmatched by anyone, evident of his ever extended arms always willing to reach out in assistance for his family, friends, or any member of the human family. Jeremy always left you as he greeted you, with a remarkable laughter that engulfed your heart and mind. Jeremy''s soul was impressive as he left you with a positive reflection of a higher calling guided by the Most High.His footsteps were truly illuminated; his light will continue to shine on every place he walked and in every one he set eyes on.
He was preceded in death by his paternal Grand Parents Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert, (Bernice Francois), Olivier, and his maternal Grand father Edward Chrétien Sr.
Jeremy leaves behind to cherish the many wonderful memories of his life LaKisha Olivier his wife and their unborn daughter, John and Gwen Oliver (mother and father), Lilly Chrétien ( maternal grandmother) John Olivier Jr. and Shawn (Shalanda) Michael Jude Papillion (brothers and sister-in-law), Robert and Adrina Hargrove (father and mother-in-law) Blaine Hines (brother-in-law) Aliyajah Jude Papillion (Godson and nephew), Maaliyah Papillion, Ja''Nazia Olivier, Tianna Olivier, Jazzmyne Olivier (nieces), Jaylin Olivier, Jamarric Clayton (nephews), and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family, friends and fraternal brothers and sisters.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: October 4, 2014
His funeral will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, in Combre Funeral Home.
