LAKE CHARLES — Jesic Cravens Jr. left this earth on Friday, Ocotber 26, 2012 at 7:30 at home. He was very much loved by his family.
He was born to Jesic Cavens Sr. and Mae Del Hebert on July 7, 1954, along with his twin Jessica. He was educated at Sacred Heart Elementary, Reynaud Junior High, and graduate of W.O Boston High School class of 1972. He enlisted in the United State Air Force He married Pat Sterling and to this union his son Jesic was born. He had two children with Celisa Lindy, a daughter, Tonya Shonette and a son Brandon. He atteneded culinary scholl at Sowela Tech and graduated. He married Sandra Chavis and he adopted her daughter nina and to this union their daughter Lashara was born. He worked for Calcasieu Parish at the Juvenile Detention Center, and retired after 20 years. Serving as Pallbearers are, Leonard C. Burrell Jr, Gary L. Joseph Jr, Adrian C. Burrell, Joshua Martin, Brandon Simon, and Jonathan Cravens Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Lovenia Martin; one brother, Jonathan Cravens Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Jesic Cravens-Johnson(Annie) of Orlando, Fl, and Brandon Lindy(T'lana) of Opelousas, La.; three daughters, Tonya Shonette Lindy of Opelousas, La, Nina Cravens and Lashara Cravens-Lewis(Zavier) of Lake Charles, La.; six grandchildren, Latedrick and Eniyah Bryant, Beanna, Caleb, Bethany, and T'lia Lindy of Opelousas, La.; five sisters, Marjorie Wolf(Jessie) of Woodville, Tx., Jessie Mae Lawrence(Ronald) of Moss Bluff, La., Patricia Cravens of Culver City, Ca., Jessica Cravens of Missouri City, Tx., and Sherrel Burrell(Leonard Sr.) of Lake Charles, La.; one brotherin-law Gilbert Martin Jr. of Lynwood, Ca.; three aunts, Geneva Long of Milwaukee, Ws., Audrey Hebert and Elizabeth Hebert Perez of Los Angele, Ca.; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends
His funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Clyde Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home.
