IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jessie Mae
Clinton
April 16, 1950 – February 5, 2026
Jessie Mae Clinton
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matt 25:31
Jessie Mae Clinton was a woman of few words but who spoke with the power of her 75 years of living in the Word. Born April 16, 1950 in Washington, LA.
Jessie was the oldest of 7children born to William Clinton, Jr. and Mary Lou Mullen Clinton.
Her parents and family moved from Washington, La and settled in Lake Charles. She attended the public schools of Calcasieu Parish.
Jessie united with Pleasant Hill BC under the leadership of then Pastor Nash and remained a faithful member for more than 50 years. She was a regular Sunday school student, always feeding on God’s word; a member of the adult choir, and a regular mission and Bible study participant. If the doors of the church were opened, Jessie was in attendance. Rarely was that 3rd row, 3rd seat vacant.
In addition to her talents as a singer, Jessie was known for being a thought provoking meditation writer which she did for special occasions. She also loved to cook, sew, and work puzzles.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister Martha, Jessie leaves her sisters Eva and Elizabeth Clinton of Lake Charles. And Helen (Farley) Thomas of Richmond, California and Brothers Jesse Lee Clinton of New Jersey and Leroy (Sharon) Clinton of Opelousas, La. to celebrate a beautiful and well lived life.
She is also survived by a niece, Tonya Clinton and bonus sister/friend Wanda Jacobs.
Jessie’s quiet spirit and quick wit will be missed by her church family, her fellow van riders and the Pleasant Hill Family.
She now rests with those who have prepared for her coming await her arrival with the King of kings.
