Jimmy “Ladd” Guillory
Jimmy “Ladd” Guillory was born on September 3rd 1942 to Raoul Guillory, Sr. and Lorena (Riggs) Guillory in Church Point, La. He was a very proud Vietnam Veteran. Jimmy worked at several local refineries as a laborer, pipefitter and boilermaker. He also worked as security for Isle of Capri Casino until its closing in 2020.
On September 2, 1994 he married Evelyn Jones and it became a family of 5 with his bonus kids Robert Jr., Pandora and Skilan.
Ladd was the patriarch of his large family. He enjoyed cooking for his family and didn’t need a holiday or reason to show off his delicious cooking skills. When you left his table, you were full. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially football. He was also known as the professor by his family. Whatever you needed to know, call Ladd He remembered birthdays, including those of his large group of first cousins. He affectionately would give his family members nicknames. Everyone had a nickname. He and his wife Evelyn enjoyed taking road trips. Ladd didn’t need a cell phone for directions. He would drive everywhere with his paper map.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Guillory. Daughter Skilan Pullam and son Robert (Lynettea) Johnson Jr. Siblings Terrell (Paulette) Guillory of Jacksonville, FL; Kerman (Mary) Chatman, Suzanne Guillory, Eva (Benjamin) Thomas, Lisa (Troy) Ellis all of Lake Charles. Grandkids Donavan, Taylor, Quaylon, Traylon, Jaylon, Demetrius and Javori. Great grandkids Jacory, Tayden, Ayden, Amari, Avery, Ava, Jayden. Godchildren Jamarick Guillory, Carnaja’ Joseph, Marketta Guillory and Diamond John.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Lorena and Raoul Guillory Sr. Siblings Elizabeth Guillory, Barbara Guillory and Audrey Alexander; brothers Augusta, Raoul Jr., and Joseph Guillory. Daughter Pandora Johnson Eddie. Grandchildren Octavia Jack and Jaimori Johnson.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
“Ladd’s” visitation will be 8:00 A.M. Thursday, August 27, 2026 with funeral at 11:00 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment and Military Honors will be at 1:30 P.M. in Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
