John Matthews 91 pass on Thursday August 19 ^th 2021 in his home. He was a native of Jennings, La. He served in Air Force over 20 years and work for Continental Airlines as a mechanic over 25 years.

He is survived by Three daughters Jennifer Toussaint of Sulphur, La. Gwendolyn Brown of Lake Charles, La. And Sherwana Mathews of Los Angeles, Ca.

He is also survived by Four grandchildren Tiffany Mathews Jordan (Jeremy) Valerie Mathews, Kendal Toussaint (Shalena) and Kevin John Toussaint.

He is also survived by Six Great grandchildren. Taffien Shawn-Micheal Mathews, Damon Ledoux, Jerrin Mathews, Jardell Mathews, Violet Rose Mathews, and Kamdyn Rae Toussaint.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Martha Matthews. He was also preceded in by seven siblings Alfred Matthews, Alex Mathews, Clarence Matthews Sr., Theodore Matthews, Agness Mathews, Ethel Wright, and Lilly Mae Janice.
