Johnny Lewis Sr. was born on August 1, 1955 to Mrs. Doritha Lewis Kimbrought in Lafayette, LA. He resided in Lake Charles for most of his life. He was a member of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. He retired from Omega Protein in 2014 after 27 years of service. Johnny passed away on April 19, 2014 at a local hospital at the age of 58 years.

Funeral services for Johnny Lewis, Sr. will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 1401 Moeling Street, Lake Charles, LA. Visitation will be from 9am to 10:50am and services will begin at 11am. Rev. Samuel C. Tolbert, Jr. will be officiating.

Johnny leaves to cherish his wife Martha Young Lewis; two daughters, Alycia (Stafford) Vital & Quartessa Levier; of Lake Charles, LA, four sons, Johnny (Precious) Lewis, Jr., of San Diego, California, Roland & Roman Levier, and Arsenio Green all of Lake Charles, LA; one stepson, Gregory (Belinda) Young, Sr. of Lake Charles, LA; eight sisters, Rebecca (Jimmie) Jones of Lake Charles, Betty Wilson of Beaumont, TX, Paula (Clifton) Harmon, Roxanna (Julian) Williams, Stella, Clara, Beula, & Dianna Lewis all of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers, Lester (Debra) Lewis, Chris Lewis, of Lake Charles, LA, & Floyd (Natasha) Lewis of El Paso, TX; eleven grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, relatives & friends.
