Joseph L. Dugar, Jr. passed peacefully from this life on February 10, 2021 after a gradual decline in health.
Joseph was born on January 1, 1930 in Opelousas, La. to late Joseph Lonnie Dugar, Sr., and Louise Darjean Dugar.
Joseph was a painter at Citgo Refinery Plant for 45 years. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 49 years. He was born in Opelousas, but he lived in Lake Charles, La. most of his life.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Ann Leday Dugar, his devoted and loving spouse of 69 years. He is also survived by his children, Martin (Susie) Dugar of Baton Rouge; Terry (Paulette) Dugar of Houston, Texas; and Debra Simien of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Derrick Declouiet, Hope Victorian, Nicholas Citizen, Stacey Dugar, Terry Dugar, Jr., Cherie Zebbs, Jeremy Dugar. ten great grandchildren. Joseph is also survived by his sisters, Bernice D. Auzenne, Shirley D. Green, Helen D. Duriseau, Veronica Miller, one brother: James Frederick Dugar. Also, Joseph leaves a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
Joseph L. Dugar, was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Lonnie Dugar, Sr. and Louis Darjean Dugar; four brothers, George Dugar, Patrick Dugar, Roger Dugar, and Phillip Dugar; seven sisters, Yola D. Pitre, Pearly D. Landry, Melba D. Batiste, Edith D. Richard, Doris D. Guidry, Lillian Richard, and Josephine Stanberry.
