Joseph Fanner Guidry, 83, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died on Saturday, November 25, at home surrounded by his wife (Rita) of 57 years and loved ones. Joseph, or JP as he was known by family and friends, was an army veteran and later retired from Conoco Chemical Plant as an electrician.
He leaves to mourn, his wife Rita of Lake Charles, Louisiana, son Bryant and wife Linda of Snellville, Georgia; son Cornell of Lake Charles, Louisiana; grandchildren Taylor and Kameron Guidry of Snellville, Georgia; Brittany Guidry of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Rachel Guidry of Dallas, Texas; Brianne Guidry of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Karress Guidry-Capers and her father Wendell Capers of Atlanta, Georgia, great grandchildren: Kenadee, Kylee Stiner, of Lake Charles, La.: and his only sister Inez Richard of Lake Charles. La.
He was preceded in death, by his parents, Fanner and Annie Guidry and his eldest son, Damon Guidry of Atlanta, Georgia.
