It is with profound sadness & heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father, son, grandfather, uncle, friend Joseph Paul West Jr. Aka June, many knew him as Joe Tek who Departed this life on August 26, 2025 at the age of 57 at a hospital in Beaumont, TX where he resided.

Joseph was born in Lake Charles, La on February 15, 1968, to Joseph West Sr & Rosie Lee West.  After graduating from Lake Charles Boston High & Job Corp he went on to pursue his talent and opened up his own painting business "Paint The City" servicing people all over. No job was too big or too small, houses, buildings, cars, clothing you name   it he painted it. He was always the life of the party, a people person who made friends wherever he went. He loved fishing, dancing, dogs, and bar-b-que. You could always find him on a fishing pond.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Paul West Sr & Rosie Lee West, grandparents Josephine White & Oliver West, Chester & Viola Butler.

Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 20 plus years Lasandra Denise West, his significant other, Nakter Davis-Hill for 13 years from Beaumont, TX, a son Isaiah Grice-West of Austin, TX., two daughters Deandralyn West & Kiara West of Lake Charles, LA., two grandchildren Zayla Grice-West and Zyri West, three sisters Michelle (Milton) Hargrove from Maryland, Shelia Reeves from Iowa, LA. ,Melanie West from Lake Charles, his brother Terence West Sr. from Lake Charles nieces & nephews Tranissa Papillion, Eric Hargrove, Xavier Redmond, Alexis Hargrove, Terence West Jr, Jeremiah Reeves, Quincy Reeves, Mason Hearn, Shayla West , and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.

As we say our goodbyes to June we would like to say we love you & will see you on the other side your memories will live on in all of us. We also would like to thank Combre Funeral home & each and every one of you for all the love, prayers & support shown to our family at this difficult time.
