Joyce Marie Guillory, daughter of Austin Guillory Sr. and Philomen Thibodeaux was born May 26, 1938. She transitioned peacefully on June 17, 2024.

Joyce grew up in Lawtell, LA with her siblings, Abner, Lionel, Lloyd, Lewis, Etienne, Austin Jr., James Donald, Melba Jean, Charles and Paul, all who preceded her in life.

She lived in Lake Charles, LA with her husband, Christoval Guillory, now deceased, and her children, Brenda Gallow (Harold), Gerald Guillory (Louise), Paula Fontenot and Toya Graham.

She worked at Holiday Inn in housekeeping for over 10+ years, and worked at St. Patrick's Hospital until she retired. Joyce was an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary for over 25+ years.

Joyce loved her family and her grandchildren and tried to participate in as many of their activities as possible. She loved family visits and always made you feel at home with coffee and food.

Joyce has six grandchildren including Nicholas, Candace, Veronica, Ashton, Joyce and Zaria; and 10 great grandchildren.

Joyce loved zydeco music and enjoyed the casinos.

Joyce will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who know her.
