Jules Phillip Francis 76, died on June 6, 2013 in his home. He was born in Mallet, Louisiana on January 23, 1937. He lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Jules worked as a construction laborer through Laborer''s international Union of North America Local 207 for many years until his retirement in 1995.
Jules will be remembered for his loving and welcoming personality to all who knew him. He enjoyed working on his computer doing family ancestral research, gardening, playing computer card games, watching his favorite soap operas and television show "Little House on the Prairie."
Jules was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Wilda Mae Malveaux-Francis, parents: Sidney and Estella Francis, brothers: Herman and Joseph Francis, sister-in-laws: Mildred Lazard, Madar Dean Malveaux, Caffa Mae Malveaux, Emma Malveaux, and Mary Jean Guidry-Malveaux, brother-in-laws: Errol V. Brown, John Declues, Patrick, Raymond, and Bernard Malveaux.
Jules leaves to cherish in his memories one brother Earnest (Viola) Francis, two sisters: Catherine Declues and Mary Ann (Herbert) Lafanette of Lake Charles, Louisiana, four sister-in-laws: Ella Mae Francis of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Lucinda Francis, Veronica Brown, and Winnie Malveaux of Houston, Texas, one brother-in-law: Clarence Lazard, Sr., beloved godchildren: Samantha Malveaux, Earnest Francis, Jr., and Gregory Malveaux, best friend: Odell Lavigne, and a host of other godchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: June 14, 2013
Services will be Friday, June 14, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Visitation will be at Combre Funeral Home 8:00 am - 10:45. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
