Katrina Rochelle Broussard was called home on Monday, February 13, 2017 in her residence.

Katrina was a native of Lake Charles, La., but lived in Lafayette for the past 9 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Katrina graduated from Washington-Marion Magnet High School in 2008 and was elected Miss Washington-Marion for the 2007/2008 year, the captain of the dance line in the Jukebox Band, part of the National Honor Society and attended the High Ability Program at Grambling State University. She graduated from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette in 3 years where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Pre-Law. Her aspiration was to attend Law School at LSU. She worked for Reynolds Law Firm, LLC as a Paralegal under the supervision of Attorney Timothy (Melanie) Reynolds.

Katrina was preceded in death by her grandfather, Levander J. Hursey, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Owen Lee Briggs 1 year old; her mother, Angela E. Hursey of Lake Charles, La., her father, Wilfert (Pam) P. Broussard, Jr., of Iowa, La., two sisters, Avia (Fredric) Addison of Lake Charles, La. And Bethany A. Broussard of Iowa, La.,  brother, Khashif H. Addison of Lake Charles, La. Grandparents Elizabeth E. Hursey of Lake Charles, La., Wilfert (Virginia) P. Broussard, Sr. of Iowa, La., two nieces, Vashti E. Addison and Kailani E. Addison, nephew, Yeshua W. Addison all of Lake Charles, La. And a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
