Obituary

On Friday February 28, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. Kenneth Manuel went home to be with the Lord.

Kenneth Ray Manuel was born May 27, 1958 to Eugene and Lula Mae Manuel. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA. Kenneth attended Washington High School. He was an employee of the City of Lake Charles for many years but his greatest job was the years he spent volunteer coaching Little League for North Lake Charles.

On March 2, 1987 Kenneth married LouVella Thibodeaux. Together they raised three children Rhonda, Terri "Skeeter", and Kenneth "Big Man". He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church of Lake Charles.

Kenneth enjoyed life and spending time with family. Whether it was hanging out with his brothers and sisters, supporting his nieces and nephews in their endeavors, or taking care of his wife, children and grandchildren, he did it all with love and laughter.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 27 years LouVella Manuel, his children Rhonda (Dwight) Broussard, Terri (Brandon) Williams Sr. and Kenneth Eugene Manuel. His grandchildren Alaya Washington, Keiara Bland, and Brandon "Poppa" Williams Jr. six brothers: Charles (Ethie) Manuel, Edward Lee Manuel, Joseph Manuel, James (Brenda) Manuel, Christopher (Connie) Manuel, Terrell (Renette) Manuel, two sisters: Glenda (Eugene) Robinson Jr. and Charlene Manuel and brother-in-law Lawerence Jack. In-laws Peter (Martha) Thibodeaux, Geraldine Fobbs, Evelyn (Joseph) Amos, Maudrey Jason, Audrey (Joe) Lewis, Bonnie Bellard, Juanita (Murlin "Butch") Chambers, Agnes Thibodeaux, Patricia Patterson, Terry Thibodeaux, and John "Cookie" Thibodeaux, one god-daughter Che'' Lewis, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Manuel and Lula Mae Dartez Manuel, one sister Brenda Ann Manuel Jack, one sister-in-law Brenda Manuel, two brother-in-laws Melvin Thibodeaux and Joseph Fobbs, and his special friend, his dog of 10 years Princess.

Services will be Friday March 7, 2014 at Combre Funeral Home 6pm - 9pm and Saturday March 8, 2014 viewing 9am -11am and service at 11:00am at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church 2549 Moeling St. Lake Charles, LA. Pastor Lee Wilson officiating.

Services will be Friday March 7, 2014 at Combre Funeral Home 6pm - 9pm and Saturday March 8, 2014 viewing 9am -11am and service at 11:00am at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church.
