Obituary

Kevin Ray Miller, was born Feb. 24, 1960 in Lake Charles to the union of James and Annie Mae Cain Miller. He was the sixth child of eight. He graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1978.

After graduation he was a DJ for Radio Station 13K in Sulphur, Louisiana and was known as the Ayatolla. He later worked for the Lake Charles Fire Department, as an Engine driver for many years before joining the Calcasieu Parish School board as an Journeyman Electrician. At the time of his passing, he had been an School Board employee for 15 years.

Kevin enjoyed cooking and he was a hugh Dallas Cowboy''s fan. He was also a member of the NFL Road Brothers.

He accepted Christ in his life at the age of 12 at Warren United Methodist Church, Lake Charles.

He is survived by his mother Annie Mae Cain Miller; four brothers James (Janice) Miller of Baton Rouge, La, Ronald (Barbara) Miller of Lake Charles, La, Albert (Terry) Miller of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Michael Miller and Shirley Citizen of Sulphur; three sisters Lillian Porche and Sandra Miller both of Lake Charles, La and Dorothy (Bryan) Lewis of Tallahassee, Florida; his goddaughter Laura Nicole Carroll; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father James Joseph Miller, Sr., maternal grandparents Joseph and Carrie Cain, Sr; and paternal grandparents Lee and Julia Miller.

Kevin will be greatly missed.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: July 11, 2015

His funeral will be at 2pm Saturday, July 11, in Warren United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 12:30 Saturday in the church under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
