Obituary

Kevin William Young was born on April 10, 1965, in Glasgow, Montana to the late John and Bernice (Antoine) Young. He departed this life on May 6, 2026, in Baton Rouge.

At a young age, Kevin traveled throughout the United States with his family while his father served in the military. He attended school in Lake Charles and graduated from Washington High School in 1983. Following high school, he attended trade school, where he earned certificates in culinary arts and automotive paint and body repair.

Kevin was baptized at an early age at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Lake Charles. He lived and worked in Alexandria, LA; Denver, CO; and Lake Charles, LA throughout his life.

Kevin was a gifted artist who enjoyed free-style drawing and expressing his creativity. He had a special love for animals, especially dogs, and rarely went anywhere without one of his beloved companions by his side. He was also an avid football fan and proudly supported the Las Vegas Raiders.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bernice Young; his brother, Mark Young; and his sister, Billie Marie Gray.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Matthew Young of Houston; his sister, Tina Young of Beaumont; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
