Laurence "Chummy" Lyons Darbonne was born on December 20, 1940 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Clarence and Jennie Lyons. Laurence was a long time member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years Lionel Darbonne, Sr., two daughters Catherine (Ray) Malbrough and Barbara (Gerard) Prejean, two sons Michael Darbonne and David (Jennifer) Darbonne, daughter-in-law Veronica Darbonne, sister Sylvia Thomas, and half-sister Bettye Hallberg, sister-in-law Sylvia Thibodeaux, 12 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, her son Lionel Darbonne Jr., half-brother Gerald Singleton, niece Jacqueline Williams, and nephews Robert Williams, Anthony Williams, and Gerald Thibodeaux

The visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 8:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. with a rosary at 8:30 A.M. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M.. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
