May 15, 1934 – November 22, 2017
Lacassine—Mr. Lawrence Bellow, 83 received his wings at home with his family by his side Wednesday Nov. 22, 2017. He was a resident of Lacassine and a member of the Knights of Columbus #9281. He was employed with Gulf States Utilities until the company changed owners to Entergy after 37 years. He was also a long time partner with Allen Babineaux Lawn Services and he worked at Rabideaux's Sausage Kitchen in Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vicare and Mary Bellow, two sisters Ella Mae Guillory and Sister Marcia, Grandchildren Tyisha Payne, Jeremy Lavergne, David Brown and twins Marcus and Matthew Brown.
Mr. Lawrence believed in family. He held his family close to his heart. He enjoyed his time with them even if it was to gather them all on the truck and go to work cleaning his client's yards. He taught his children if you work hard you will always succeed and hard work never killed anyone.
He loved the country life. When he got the opportunity to move on several acres of property and farm, he did. He was able to raise cows, chickens and pigs. He also enjoyed working in the field and farming his land. That red tractor got a work out with the man wearing the big hat and a brilliant smile.
He was a man of his word. If he told you he would do something you could mark it done. He always carried a smile on his face. Those pearly whites were as strong as he was. He wasn't a man of many words but he believed in God and going to church to serve his Lord and Savior was not an option. He was a praying man. He carried a rosary with him always. He knew the Lord would always be by his side.
