Leo Rideaux, Sr. was born to the late Nathan (Lovenia Linton) Rideaux on September 28, 1930 in Washington, Louisiana.
Leo loved fishing, cooking, making people laugh, just never a dull moment. However, his favorite past time was barbecuing and watching the family enjoy his barbecue, especially his barbecued ribs. He was a People''s Person and home was opened to all the people he loved, and who loved him.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Lovenia Rideaux, one son Dexter Rideaux, three brothers Adam, Phillip, Ulylice; and two sisters Orelia Stagg and Lovenia Gabriel.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of sixty-four years, Mary B. Rideaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one daughter Terry L. Rideaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana; four sons Leo (Linda G.) Rideaux, Jr. of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Mark Anthony (Mary) Rideaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Stephen Andre (Jacqueline) Rideaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Alfred Dale Rideaux of Houston, Texas; one daughter-in-law Linda P. Rideaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one brother Simon J. Rideaux of Los Angeles, California; two sisters Evelyn Thierry of Kansas City, Kansas and Lenell (Wilson) Simien of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Also cherishing his memories are his thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; one Goddaughter Elizabeth (Ron) Little; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation Saturday August 30 from 8:00a.m. to 10:40 a.m. Combre Funeral Home, Funeral 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 30, 2014 at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park
