Leona Guillory-Espree, 76, departed this life September 23 2013.

Leona was born March 27, 1938 in Opelousas, LA. to the parents of Gilbert Guillory & Emma Bellard-Guillory. To this union two children was born, Leona and Lionel Guillory. Emma remarried Ned Carmouche, to this union ten children was born; Ollie, Bernice, Wilma, Annie, Ezia Mae, Sandra, Joseph, Merrick, Nelson & Ernest Carmouche. Leona also welcomed her sisters and brother born to her step-father, Ned & Ella Dargin, those who are left to cherish her memories are, Matilda Carmouche-Duhon, Joseph Eric Carmouche, Rita Carmouche-Senigal, as well as her sister Judy Guillory, through the marriage of Gilbert & Bertha Dyer-Guillory.

Mrs. Espree was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church. She moved to Lake Charles, LA. after she married Eugene Espree II on September 25, 1953. Leona & Eugene owned and operated Gossport Daycare for over 25 years. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, Leona is know as "mama" to many of the children she cared for.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter; Monica Espree-William-Wright (Charles) of Dallas Texas., four sons; Demmick Espree (Leatha) of Crosby, TX., Wayne Espree of Lake Charles, LA. Billy Espree (Josephine) of Houston, TX., Eugene Espree III (Rachelle) of Humble, TX. Four granddaughters, Daphne Morris-Martin, Demica Espree, Patrice Williams, Ashley Espree, four grandsons, John Espree (fiance, Karla Castillo - Jimenez), Demond Espree, Troy Martin and Jordan Williams. Four great granddaughters, Destiney Martin, Taylin St.Romain, Zariah Parlor, Mya Spidle, two great grandsons, Treylane Martin and LaSean Spidle and one great great granddaughter, Alana Young.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Eugene Espree II, her son Deno James Espree and daughter, Stacy Ann Espree, her parents Gilbert Guillory, Emma Bellard-Guillory-Carmouche, step father Ned Carmouche, step mother Bertha Dyer-Guillory. Brothers; Lionel Guillory, Buddies Guillory, Joseph Carmouche, Aldia Carmouche, Colbert Carmouche, Joseph Corris Carmouche and three sisters; Connie Guillory, Sandra Carmouche-Spring and Catherine Carmouche-Lawrence.
