Leona Handy,92, was called home

Charles. She was born in Arnaudville, La
to Gaston and Carrie Savoy on July 31, 1925.

She lived most of her life in Lake Charles.

Leona was a devoted member of
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic
Church. Where she was an active
member of The Ladies Auxiliary
Court 141 and Christian Mothers
Organization. She enjoyed long
morning walks with her friends,
embroidering Holiday Tablecloths
and making handmade Quilts for family and friends.
She Retired from Green Acres Nursing Home.

She is preceded in death by her
husband of 57 years, Truman Handy.
Two sons, Edward Handy and Joseph
Handy, one grandson Latron Wilson.

Leona leaves behind to cherish her
memories; three daughters, Veronica
Handy of San Diego, CA, Linda(Holiand)
Guillory, Diana Hudson both of Lake
Charles. Five sons; Freeman(Mary) Handy
of San Diego, CA, James Handy of Spring
Texas, Jarel(Sharion) Handy of Baton
Rouge, LA, Charles(Rosylind) Handy of
Fairfield, CA.; 23 grandchildren, 31 great
grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren
and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
