Leona Agnes Smith

We unwillingly relinquish the QUEEN Leona Agnes formally known to all as Totsie . She was our mom , our babysitter, our Master chef and baker. She exemplified what a faithful servant was through her love for her family. She adorned her kids with custom-made garments that she sewed and proudly displayed them on Sundays at church. She always made a way to provide her family with hot, mouth-watering meals that are still cherished to this day. Her faith never withered and always was hopeful even when the chips were down. She always showed her kids “The Christ-like” way of going through life and knowing that when it’s all said and done, your good works speak for you.

She was born in Plaisance, La on Jan 9th 1936 to parents Felix- Maceo and Lillian Thierry whom preceded her in death along with her siblings Sybil, Willard, Wilmer, Albertha, Bernice, and Calvin.

She is survived by her husband Of 70 years Richard Smith and children Andrea Lewis, Gary Smith (Carlene), Shari (Hal) Bellow, David Smith (Lisa) and her baby as she always referred to Bryan Smith and a host of grandchildren Great grandchildren and Great-great grands. Good thought when thinking of our mother is to always be thankful and GOD will see you through to it.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel with funeral at 1:30 P.M..in St. Henry Catholic Church under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
