Obituary

Linda Gail Weber Arceneaux departed this life on September 23, 2024 in Houston Texas.

Linda Gail Weber Arceneaux was born February 26, 1949, to the late Joe Weber Sr. and Minnie Bazile Weber in Lake Charles, LA. A native of Louisiana, Linda had been residing in Texas for the last five years.

Linda was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School and a 1979 graduate of McNeese State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Linda in her early life was heavy in the civil rights movement, moving to Chicago and working with the Black Panthers serving breakfast and heading their literacy program. For all who knew her, Linda was a caring passionate woman who cared about people and cared about her family. People who knew her called her "Lin" "Lin Gal" or as my brother and I called her "Auntie Linda". She was always smiling, laughing, listening to her jazz music and debating current topics with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two nephews, Mark Anthony Weber, Joseph Michael Weber III and her niece Johanna Helen Weber, her grandnieces and nephews Jackie, Reagan, Gaven, Jalen, Jasmine, Jonah, Jiyani and Armani and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday October 5, 2024 at 1pm at Combre Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA.
