Bro. Linton Anderson, 69, a native of Lake Charles departed this life Friday, October 30, 2015 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital.
Linton was born July 17, 1946 to the late Clinton and Mercy Dee Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
He was baptized at an early age at New Light Baptist Church in Vidrine, Louisiana under the leadership of Rev. E.D. Alfred. Upon moving to Lake Charles, he united with Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Pastor Harvey Lawson and current Pastor Rev. Freddie G. Brown. Linton was a faithful member well over 30 years up to the time of his death. He was a member of the Brotherhood and Sunday Class # 8.
Cherishing his memories is his good friend, Letha Jones, two children: Evelyn (Linton) Richard, Jr. of Ville Platte, Louisiana, and Mary Jane Anderson of Opelousas, Louisiana, three brothers: Norris Anderson of Leesville, Louisiana, Felton Anderson of Ville Platte, Louisiana and Carlton Anderson of Lake Charles, Louisiana, one sister: Mercy Ann Anderson of Ville Platte, Louisiana, two grandchildren Aronzo J. Tezeno and Dillion J. Thomas of Ville Platte, Louisiana, and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Hilton Anderson and one sister, Regina Jack.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Service date: November 7, 2015
His funeral will be at 2 pm Friday, November 7, in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. The Rev. Freddie Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 12 pm Friday in the church.
