Lois Hampton Hunter was the thirteen child of the late Ira and Johnnie Essie Hampton.  She was born on January 5, 1937 and departed her life on February 5, 2022.  She attended Elementary school and High school in Athens, La.

Lois was member of New Sunlight Baptist Church for many years and Bethel Metropolitan Baptist Fellowship where she received Usher of the year 2003 and in March 1, 2009 was rewarded for her long-time dictation, commitment and love in her service for the Lord.  Later she joined the Starlight Baptist church where she served until her death.  Lois served as an usher for over 25 years

Lois Hunter was preceded in death by her parents, 9 brothers and 5 sisters

She leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons, Johnny R. Hampton of East Feliciana, LA., Thaddeus D. Hunter of Lake Charles, LA., 3 daughters, Elsby Holmes (Raymond) of Desoto, Tx., Areleartha G. Addalla (Willard) and Charlotte Roberts both to Lake Charles, LA., one brother, Willie Hampton of Athens, LA., one sister, Irma Barnes of Arcadia, La., one Godson, Caleb Lars of Lancastler, Tx. 7 grandchildren, 25 great grand and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
