Lois Simon Joubert, 69 years old, departed this life on March 4, 2015 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. She was born February 20, 1946 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Etta Aaron Simon. She was a life-long resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana.Lois was a faithful member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where she was a member of the League of Sacred Heart and a door greeter.

Lois was a dedicated employee of Christus Saint Patrick Hospital where she worked for 32 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in her yard and going on fishing trips.

Lois is survived by one daughter, Cynthia D. (Terry S.) Weston of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one son, Andrae (Kateena) Joubert of St. Marys, Georgia; one granddaughter, Chelsea Elaine Weston of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two grandsons, Lawrence Blair and Charles Joubert of St. Marys, Georgia; one brother, Charles (Vivian) Simon of Houston, Texas; two Godchildren, Camalita Albert of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Dwayne Patrick Aaron of Goodyear, Arizona; Godmother, Eula Carmon and best friend, Pam Corbins. Other survivors include a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her brothers Milton, Charley and Lester Simon; sisters, Melvia Simon DeBoest, Lorena Washington and Agnes Johnson, and Mildred Travenia.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Service date: March 14, 2015

Visitation will be hed Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 8-11:45 a.m. with a Rosary by the Leage of Sacred Heart beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Combre Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 12 noon at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park.
