IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louanna
Durousseau
October 3, 1938 – September 17, 2025
Louanna Durousseau, 86, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, LA, where she received tender care in her final days.
Born October 3, 1938, in Lawtell, LA, Louanna, lovingly known as "Lou", moved to New York City at 17, married Ernest Robinson, and had one son. A decade later, she returned to Louisiana, making Lake Charles home for the remainder of her life.
Louanna will be remembered for her jovial nature and gift for making others feel welcome with her warm smile. A devoted caregiver and nurturer, she loved animals and expressed affection through cooking. She was always up for visiting on her porch and enjoyed thrifting.
Above all, she took pride in her son and granddaughter, who carry forward her joyful spirit and will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse Durousseau and Delta Dyer; brothers Murphy "Tiny" LeBlanc Sr. and John Hadley Durousseau; and sister Girvena LeBlanc.
She leaves cherished memories to her son, Mark Everett Robinson; granddaughter, Winnifred Orchid Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving relatives, and friends. A private celebration of life will be held at her home.
