Obituary

Louis Stevenson Hardy was born November 7, 1936 in Lake
Charles
, La to Zachariah and Lena Jenkins Hardy. He was
one of seven siblings. He was a lifetime resident of Lake
Charles.

He was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. We. Clark at
Christian Baptist Church. He later moved his membership

to Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church , under the
leadership of Rev. Samuel E
. Tolbert, Jr. He was a faithful
member who worked with the Evangelism
/ Bus Ministry until
his health failed.

He enjoyed walking, talking to everyone he met and watching
TV He received the nickname "Stepper" because he loved
walking
.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents Zachariah and
Lena Jenkins Hardy; two sisters
, Doris Hardy Abraham and
Angel Hardy Davis; four brothers
, Henry Hardy, Robert
Hardy
, Clifton Hardy and Len Charles Hardy.

He leaves to cherish his memory five nieces; Katherine
Abraham Augustus
, Tammy Hardy, Joe and Carolyn Jenkins of
Lake Charles; Rachel Hardy and Wanda Cannon of
Inglewood, CA; four nephews; Melvin Hardy, Larry Hardy
and Carl Wayne Hardy of Lake Charles, LA
, Clifton Hardy of
Riverside, CA and a host of other relatives and friends.
