On February11, 2014 in the later evening hours LueBerda was sent to rest in peace with her heavenly father, and to reunite in heaven with her late husband, parents, and siblings.

LueBerda Johnson was born in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, Feburary 28, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Orelia Horton. LueBerda later moved to Lake Charles, La where she united in marriage with the late Samuel Johnson and raised their daughter Patricia. She was a dedicated home maker for all of her entire adult years, providing dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all she came in contact with. LueBerda was a wonderful cook, care taker and friend. She was a honored and proud member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church for 52 plus years, serving as a part of Senior Mission.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Thomas of Lake Charles, La, two grand daughters LaShonda Johnson of Lake Charles, La, and Shomeka Johnson of Austin, Tx. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. LueBerdais proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and four brothers.

The celebration of Life will began with a viewing from 8am, with her funeral services to follow at 11 am. Saturday, February 15, 2014 services will be held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church located at 300 North Blake Street, Lake Charles, La. Reverend Elmore Garner will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park in Lake Charles under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
