Lula Mae Thomas Senegal 84, passed away at her residence on, Monday, March 26, 2012 surrounded by her love ones. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Senegal, Sr.; two sons Lawrence "Dookie" Alexander Senegal and Tyrone Senegal; parents, Isaiah and Rececca Thomas; sisters and eight brothers.
Lula Mae was a native of Shady Side, LA, but lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, until she became ill and was unable to attend the services. She will be truly missed by those who knew her. She was well-known for always having home cooked meals and enjoyed feeding everyone.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Diane Jackson, Helen (Arnold) Henry of Lake Charles, LA. and Frankie Senegal of Washington, D.C.; six sons, Michael (Tanya) Senegal, Mark ?Pork Chop? Senegal, Roy Senegal, Jr., Tommy (Anita) Senegal all of Lake Charles, LA., Elton (Minnie) Senegal of Beaumont, TX, and Melvin (Rosie) Senegal of LaMarque, TX; two sisters Celestine Favors and Florastine Paul both of Shady Side, LA.; Special friend Lucy Deshotel; 47 grandchildren and a host of great, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Her funeral will be at 11am Saturday, March 31, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The rev. Ronald Groth will officiate. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:30 Saturday in the church.
